MyHome Inventory is an Android application designed to help users organize and maintain a personal inventory of their belongings. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using the application.
Information Stored by the App
MyHome Inventory may store information entered by the user, including item names and descriptions, categories, rooms or locations, purchase information, serial numbers, UPC/EAN and ISBN information, notes, owner information, and inventory photographs.
Inventory information is stored locally on the user's device.
Google Drive and Google Sheets
MyHome Inventory provides optional synchronization and restore features using the user's Google account.
When the user authorizes Google access, the application may create and manage MyHome Inventory files in the user's own Google Drive, including a Google Sheet containing inventory information and folders containing inventory and location photographs.
MyHome Inventory requests the Google Drive drive.file permission. This permission allows the application to access and manage the specific Google Drive files used or created by the application. It does not provide the application with unrestricted access to all files in the user's Google Drive.
Google Drive and Google Sheets data are used to provide synchronization, backup, and restore functionality requested by the user.
Data Sharing
MyHome Inventory does not sell users' personal information.
Inventory information stored through Google synchronization remains associated with the Google account authorized by the user. The application does not intentionally share one user's inventory with other MyHome Inventory users.
Photographs
Users may choose to add photographs to inventory items and rooms or locations. These photographs may be stored locally and, when Google synchronization is used, uploaded to folders created or used by MyHome Inventory in the user's Google Drive.
Third-Party Services
MyHome Inventory uses Google services for features including Google Drive/Google Sheets synchronization and book-information lookup. Information processed by Google services is also subject to Google's applicable privacy policies and terms.
Data Retention and Deletion
Users control their inventory information. Local application data can be removed from the device by clearing the application's data or uninstalling the application.
Cloud inventory information can be removed by deleting the MyHome Inventory files and folders from the user's Google Drive. Users may also revoke the application's Google account access through their Google Account security settings.
Security
MyHome Inventory is designed to request only the Google permissions necessary for its synchronization and restore functionality. Users should protect access to their Android device and Google account.
Children's Privacy
MyHome Inventory is not specifically directed toward children and is intended as a general-purpose personal inventory application.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as MyHome Inventory features or data practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
